Dr Sarah McRae is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 15 years' experience working in public health services and private practice across NSW and Western Australia. Her tertiary education includes a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons 1st Class) at the University of Sydney, followed by a Doctor of Psychology (Neuropsychology) at Macquarie University.
Sarah is based in the Lake Macquarie area and offers a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment service. She has extensive experience working with adults with a range of cognitive difficulties due to dementia/MCI, stroke, brain injury, MS and other neurological conditions and illnesses. She also has an interest in neurodiversity and adult ADHD.
Throughout her career, Sarah has undertaken research in the area of memory and ageing, traumatic brain injury, clinical pharmaceutical trials and dementia. She currently involved in research through the University of Newcastle to understand the effects of neuropsychological feedback to patients with suspected dementia, and their families, and is interested in investigating novel ways to provide care and support for these families.
Sarah maintains an ongoing interest in neuropsychological research and has experience in cognitive assessment within clinical dementia trials.
Additionally, Sarah offers supervision to Neuropsychology Registrars and is an AHPRA Board approved Supervisor.
